Matthew sitting in a diner in New York CityMatthew Sillence received his doctorate from the University of East Anglia in the History of Art in 2009, following his BA (Warwick, 2001) and MA (York, 2003) and work as a project cataloguer in research libraries and archives (2002-5, 2009-2012). He is currently a lecturer in postgraduate education and training and delivers personal and professional development sessions for research students. He has previous experience in English language teaching for adult learners, research project management, conference organisation, academic writing and bibliographic cataloguing. His current interests are in doctoral education and the integration of digital technologies into higher education research and teaching.
